Molalla Aquatic District (MAD) is holding an Emergency Meeting to discuss current projects and increasing the Aquatic Director's purchasing power to enable the purchase of new counter tops for the locker rooms.
To all of our families who were registered for an April or May class- group lesson or private- we will not be able to fulfill this request at this time. This is very hard to put into writing, but this is the best course of action at this time. We are facing many unknowns, most of all, how to provide swimming instruction while social distancing.
If you would like a refund, please email the front desk at FrontDesk@MolallaAquaticCenter.com and include your swimmer's name. Please note that a refund must go through our accounting system. We will be sending you a check by mail. We are working diligently to accommodate each refund request as quickly as possible.
If you wish to keep your payment with us, it does not go anywhere but to your account. It can be used as a credit toward a pass purchase, future lesson or rental/birthday party. Since there are many unknowns at this point, please do not feel obligated to keep the money as a credit.
Please know our Director and Board are working to create a re-opening plan that is safe, thoughtful and has everyone's best interest at heart. This is a unique situation for us all. More than anything, we wish we were able to be there for you and keep those routines going. Please know we think of you often, and we can't wait to get back in the pool.
I hope this email finds you and your family healthy! You cannot imagine how much we miss you here at the pool. I wanted to touch base with you about what is happening and what we know.
Normally, this is work done when we are closed to the public. These closures are planned out in advance and noticed to our swimmers. Even though this is a very hard time for us, we are trying to make the best of it. As your director and pool operator, safety and cleanliness are my top priorities! I want you to not just see our facility is clean, but disinfected and sanitized.
I am drafting our next fiscal year and setting up meetings that public are welcome to attend. If we are still doing distancing at that time, meetings will be posted and information pushed out to you on how to attend virtually.
All passes are placed on hold as we wait for directions from the State on re-opening. If you purchased a pass in the month of March, and would like a refund, please email me at Melissa@molallaaquaticcenter.com to make that request. We will not shorten anyone's pass due to this closure.
Right now we are planning and hoping May is back to business. If anything changes, I will be sending out communication. If you had registered for an April lesson, request either a refund or to have your child (or children) moved to the May session. I am working on summer lessons now, so once those are posted, you would be able to defer to a summer session if need be.
Please reach out with any comments, questions or concerns. Thank you for your patience! I hesitate to give you are reopen day (as of today) but please know we are doing what we can to be ready!
For those of you who registered your kids in our swimming lessons (MW morning or TTH evening) we will not be able to start teaching this week. While we knew this was a strong possibility, we were also outweighing the options for you. This is not the most ideal situation, and we are sorry for it. We miss your kids and can’t wait for them to get back in the pool.
Here are the options available to you and your family regarding lessons:
1) Move the registration to the May lessons, same time as you registered for April. This option is best if you had no set plans for May and can make the session work in your schedule.
2) Request a refund for the April session. We understand that life has happened and possibly May doesn’t work for you. It’s ok! We will gladly refund your lesson payment via check.
3) Request a credit to your account. If you paid $50 for the lesson, we can place that amount on your account for a summer lesson. This option would work for those of you who can’t make the April or May session work but do not wish a refund.
For any of the above options, please know we have all your payment information on file with our software system. If we have any questions, we may reach out to you to verify. Please be patient as we request the refund, create the check, have it signed by our board and mailed to you. We will work through these as quickly as possible.
To request any of the above options, please email us at: FrontDesk@MolallaAquaticCenter.com
Include your child's name.
It is with a heavy heart that I send you this message. We are closing the Molalla Aquatic Center indefinitely, as of Wednesday, March 18, 2020.
This was not a decision that was reached lightly or without reservation. We know it will affect many of our customers and we regret that. However, as an organization whose top priority is health and safety, we feel it is our duty to respect the situation around us and refrain from promoting close contact and groups of more than 25 people.
So many of you have families who may be impacted by this illness and we would be forever sorry if we unknowingly spread it. We have maintained best practices with regard to sanitation and disinfection, but we cannot know what people are carrying into our facility.
All passes will be put on hold. If you recently purchased a pass and would like to request a refund, please do so. You will not be charged for time not used.
Saturday swimming lesson families will receive a credit for the last class they will miss this weekend.
Birthday parties and rentals are being either refunded or rescheduled. We are working with our customers to meet their needs the best we can.
We are watching the situation and taking guidance from county, state and federal mandates and regulations. We do not wish to disclose a re-open date until we have further data and information. When it is safe to open, we will.
In the meantime, please reach out to our Board of Directors or our Aquatic Director for specific questions or concerns. We are doing the best we can with the information and data at hand. We appreciate your support and patience through this unique time.
